Indian bazaars are well known for their explosions of color, but I'm fond of this photo because, despite the mix of colors and their intensity in the midday sun, it has certain understated quality to it. That could also be the creepy guy on the right, though.

    Hi Seth

    Loved this photo. Did you see the film “Water”. If not it’s a must, story of a very young girl (I think she is nine) who is sent to an Ashram after her husband (in his 40′s dies). It’s both beautiful and poignant – I thought of it the minute I saw this entry. I highly recommend it to both you and Skye.

    Haven’t seen it, but it’s been recommended to me several times. It’s now on my Netflix queue. Another excellent documentary that takes place in India is called “Born into Brothels,” which I really enjoyed. Intelligently done, and it lets the stories speak for themselves – there’s not a lot of heartstring pulling in it.
