None of this would’ve been even remotely possible without the help of Kevin. He’s a kind-hearted soul who often takes pity on the more technologically inept. Besides helping out the digitally confused and downtrodden, besides creating the moblog utility that so many Japan bloggers have been using, he’s nice to the point of his niceness being offensive.
The next time you see him, buy him a drink. Heck, buy him two. He’s too kind to accept, but simply purchase it and put it in front of him. You know I’ll be doing the same thing.
Who said I was too nice to accept? I hate the whole “No no no, let me get the bill.” “no, no, let *me* you get it next time” dance. I try to make it a rule to accept whatever anyone offers me with no argument.
If they were expecting me to argue, and only offering to be polite, it will teach them a lesson and they wont offer the next time. If they really wanted to buy me a beer or something, I don’t waste each of our time with the manners dance.
So bring it on. I’ll keep drinking so long as you keep buying.
But I wont be offended either if no one ever buys me anything.
